Occasionally, cuvette waste water collects in the vacuum tank. Over time the vacuum tank can accumulate an unacceptable level of waste water, preventing the vacuum pump from completely removing waste water from the cuvettes. The tank should be drained every month or when the vacuum tank sensor displays NG and/or an alarm code #9158 or #9159 are generated.
Note
The vacuum tank is located within the analyzer. Access to the tank is not required to drain the tank.
|
Open the lower left-center door on the analyzer to gain access to the blue vacuum tank drain hose on the lower left shelf of the cabinet (1).
Squeezing the cap, remove the cap from the waste water discharge tube and place the tube in a container.
Turn on the drain valves

Caution
To prevent the system from losing vacuum, make sure that the cap is seated correctly.
Restore the tube within the cabinet and close the door.
At the Operation Panel, select Initialize and verify that the instrument is in the READY state.
Dispose of the waste water as you would any biohazard materials.
