Configuring the automatic calibration feature

1. Select Auto calib. set.

2. Enter the following information for each test you want to automatically recalibrate.

1. In the Test box, enter the test number (not applicable to ISE methods).

2. In the Sample Select area, select only Blank for ABS (absorbance) calibration methods.

Select both Blank and Standard for STD (one-point) calibration methods.

3. In the Control Select box, enter the letter that identifies each control you want to run after the calibration.

4. In the Enforcement area, do the following:

(1)   Select the Time check box to recalibrate the test when the Interval time expires.

(2)   Select the Bottle check box to recalibrate the test whenever the system switches to another reagent bottle of the same or a different lot for the assay item.

5. In the Interval time box, enter the time interval in days between each calibration.

You can enter a value between 1 and 9999 or 0.

3. Select Save.

NOTE

Controls requested at the Start Conditions window are run before the automatic calibration samples.

At the start of a run, calibration and control samples are run in the following order:

·   manual calibrations requested on the Start Conditions window (first)

·   manual controls requested on the Start Conditions window

·   automatic calibrations requested on the Auto Calibration Setting dialog box

·   automatic controls requested on the Auto Control Setting dialog box
