PRIME Set window

Use the PRIME Set window to define and run each of the three system primes. A prime is required after a system reagent or any associated component (pumps, valves, tubing and so on) is replaced.

Running a prime

  1. Verify that there are sufficient volumes of the system reagents.

  2. On the Operation Panel, select PRIME.

  3. Select PRIME 1, PRIME 2, or PRIME 3.

  4. Select Execute.

Setting prime cycles

  1. At the Operation Panel, select WASH.

  2. Select the prime you want to modify: PRIME 1 , PRIME 2 , or PRIME 3.

  3. For each hydraulic line, enter the number of prime cycles you want run.

NOTE

Running 5 prime cycles is usually sufficient. However, 10 prime cycles are required if a line is completely filled with air or if there is some air in all of the lines.

  1. Select Save.

NOTE

You can select Execute to run the prime without saving it.
