Use the System Startup/Shutdown Setting window to set the automatic startup option.
Verify that there are sufficient system reagents and wash solutions for the startup you want to run.
At the Menu Panel, select Maint. then select System Startup/Shutdown Setting.
In the Mode set list, select Auto start set.
Verify the selections for the automatic startup you want to run.
· Define the weekly auto start schedule.
· Define the automatic shutdown to be run on some future date.
Activate the automatic startup.
· Activate the automatic startup and perform a manual shutdown.
· Activate the automatic startup and have a system-assisted shutdown.
In the Auto start area, select the Set check box for each day you want an automatic startup.
In the Start time box, type the time when you want the system to begin the startup.
Use the 24-hour clock format (1310 is 1:10 PM).
In the CB Temp. area, select the Do check box if you want a 30-minute delay to allow the system to reach operating temperature.
In the System start list for each day, select New Start or Re-start.
In the PRIME list for each day, select the prime you want run or select none.
A prime is required only if a system reagent is replenished or a related component is replaced.
Select the Do check box beside each wash you want performed.
Select WASH3 for the startup wash.
Select the Do check box beside Cell blank for the day you want to run this procedure.
Cell blank is run weekly.
Select Save, then select Yes to confirm.
NOTE
When an automatic shutdown is performed, a "1903 system error ... Shut down the system and reboot it." message is generated to the system log. This message should be ignored.
In the Appointed column at the right side of the window:
In the Auto start area, select the Set check box.
In the Start year/month/day box, enter the date (YYYYMMDD) on which you want to run the automatic startup.
In the Start time box, enter the time when you want the system to begin the startup.

Select the Do check box beside each wash you want performed.
Select WASH3 for the startup wash.

In the Startup standby area at the left side of the window, select Standby.
In the State box, the word On displays.
Verify that system is in Ready state, then perform your routine shutdown procedure.
Do not set the Power Panel Operate/Standby switch to Standby.
If you want to turn off analyzer power, use the system-assisted shutdown to place the analyzer in the Sleep state.
Assuming that power for the computer is not turned off, the Auto Startup screen saver displays after about 15 minutes of inactivity.
Additional notes about automatic startup
In the Startup standby area at the left side of the window, select Standby.
In the Mode set list, select Shutdown set.
Verify the selections for the shutdown you want to run.
In the Start Instruction area, select Shutdown.
In the Proc.set list, select the shutdown setting you want to run.
Verify that system is in Ready, then select Start, and select Yes to confirm.
