Cleaning and replenishing the cuvette conditioner bottle

Cleaning the cuvette conditioner bottle may be performed at time of bottle refill, but must be performed at least once every two months.

Use universal precautions.

 

 

1    ISE buffer bottle 

2     RRV (Reaction) bath oil bottle

3     Isotonic saline diluent bottle

4     Cuvette detergent bottle

5    Cell conditioner bottle

To clean the cuvette conditioner bottle

  1. Open the filter cap at the front of the cuvette conditioner bottle (5), and pull up the tube with the filter.

  2. Disconnect the cuvette conditioner bottle level sensor connector. Turn the connector counter-clockwise and pull it out.

  3. Remove the bottle.

To avoid mixing up the fluid bottles, make a note of the bottle position on the shelf.

  1. Empty any remaining contents of the bottle.

  2. Rinse the bottle with deionized water and drain well.

To avoid damaging the level-sensor connector, ensure that it does not get wet.

  1. Refill the bottle with cuvette conditioner.

  2. Replace the bottle on the shelf in the cabinet.

  3. Connect the cuvette-conditioner bottle level-sensor connector. Push the connector in and turn clockwise.

  4. Insert the filter and hose, then fasten the cap.

Note

Make sure that the filter holder is located at the bottom of the bottle.

  1. Prime the fluid lines.

NOTE

If you are cleaning other bottles, you may wait to perform this step for all fluid lines.

  1. On the Operation Panel, select the Prime button.

Using the Prime Set window

  1. On the PRIME Set dialog box, select Prime 2 and enter 10 for the number of times in all fields.

  2. Select Execute.
