Ratio Parameters: Normal Value Setting

Use the Ratio Parameters window to create up to 20 ratios.

The ratio can contain two test items.

Creating a ratio

1. Enter following information in the Analysis condition area:

1. In the Analy.cond.no. box, enter the item number (101 to 120) you want to identify the ratio.

2. In the Sample Type list, select the applicable sample type.

3. In the Item Name box, enter the ratio name (up to 6 alphanumeric characters).

4. In the Digits box, enter the number of decimal places (1 to 4) you want in the ratio result.

5. In the Qualitative area, select Not Do or Do.

If you selected Do, select Qualit.set.

6. Select Rerun cond.

2. In the Standard value set area:

1. In the Abnormal v. H box, enter the result value above which the H flag (panic high) is triggered.

2. In the Abnormal v. L box, enter the result value below which the LH flag (panic low) is triggered.

3. Select Normal val.set.

(1)   In each Infant / adult border box, enter the age in years that distinguishes an infant from an adult.

(2)   In each Serum h or Urine h box, enter the age in years above which the h flag is triggered.

(3)   In each Serum l or Urine l box, enter the age in years below which the l flag is triggered.

(4)   Select OK.

3. In the Real-time Calculation Ratio Parameters area:

1. In the Item x and Item y boxes, enter the item numbers for the tests you want to use in the ratio. The item numbers are provided in the Process.Test List.

2. In the Factor a through Factor f boxes, type any numerical factors that are required in the ratio.

3. In the Formula box, enter the ratio expression.

4. To test the calculation of the ratio result, select Simulation.

4. Select Save, then select Yes to confirm.

5. Review the process and print assignments for the ratio in the Process Sequence window.
