To apply a correction formula to obtain agreement with another method or system
NOTE
This procedure applies the correction formula for a selected group of sample results. To have this formula applied automatically to all results, use the Real-time Correction Formula feature on the Analytical parameters (Chemistry) window.
Result flagging based on concentration I, L, h, H is applied after the result is changed by the correction formula. Adjust, flagging limits to reflect the correction formula.
Use the Correlation window to determine the appropriate correction formula.
Select Correction Calc. button to open the Correction Calculation dialog.
Select All or select Input range if you want to select which results to correct.
If you selected Input range, proceed as follows:
In the Number Entry Format area, select the means of identifying the first sample result in step 1c.
In the Last no. entry format area, select the means of determining the last sample result in step 1d.
In the Start no. box, identify the first sample result you want corrected.
In the Last no. box, identify the last sample you want corrected or type the number of samples you want corrected.
In the Correction area:
In the Test number box, enter the item number for the test you want corrected.
In the Factor a through Factor d boxes, enter any numerical factors that are required in the formula.
In the Formula box, type the correction formula.
To test the correction
calculation, enter a result value in the Test data
box, then select Test execute.
If an incorrect value displays in the Results box, revise the formula.
To apply the correction, select Execute.
