Correlation window

Use this window to create and display correlation charts, and the data that displays in the charts.

When needed, use the correlation data to create a real-time correction formula in the Analytical Parameters (Chemistry) window (or ISE Parameter Settings window).

Using the Correlation window

Example of correlation graph

  1. Log on as supervisor.

  2. At the Menu Panel, select Request, then select Correlation.

  3. Select Enter Data Corr.

  4. Enter the following information:

  1. In the Corr graph no. field, enter the correlation graph number.

  2. In the Corr graph name field, enter the correlation graph name.

  3. In the Date field, enter the date.

  4. In the Samp. type field, select the sample type.

  5. To manually enter the data from the other system, type 0 in the Test X field.

  6. Enter the Process Sequence number.

  7. In the correlation plot in the Enter order numbers field, enter the order numbers for the data you are using.

  8. Select Execute, then select Return.

  1. Perform any of the following tasks on this window:

Delete charts

  1. Close the window.

Display charts

  1. In the Data search field, select the chart you want to display.

The chart displays on the left of the screen.

The Data information section displays information about the correlation data.

(Optional) You can change the scale of the chart by editing the Scale change fields.

Display chart data

  1. In the Data search field, select the chart containing the data you want to display.

  2. Select Display data.

The List Display window contains the measurement data for the date and sample type selected.

·   General sample information displays at the top of the window.

·   Each sample has XData and YData measurements.

·   Select Next Page and Prev page to display more measurements.

  1. To return to the Correlation window, select Return.

Creating charts (add data automatically)

Use this procedure if the measurement data comes from the system. You can add one or both sets of coordinates automatically.

  1. Select Enter Data Corr.

  2. At the Correlation Data dialog, set the specifications for the new chart:

  1. Complete the Corr graph no. and Corr graph name fields to give the chart an identity.

  2. Select a date and sample type for the chart.

  3. Select the tests for the chart (Test X and Test Y).

  4. Specify a Enter order numbers.

  1. Select Execute.

The specifications for the new chart display in the Registration list.

  1. To return to the Correlation window, select Return.

  2. In the Data search field, select the chart you just created.

The chart displays.

  1. Select Display data.

  2. In the List display window, enter the axis names.

  3. Select Save.

  4. To return to the Correlation window, select Return.

The chart now displays with the axis names.

Create charts (add data manually)

Use this procedure if the measurement data comes from another chemistry system. You can add one or both sets of coordinates manually.

  1. Select Enter Data Corr.

  2. At the Correlation Data dialog, set the specifications for the new chart as follows:

  1. Complete the Corr graph no. and Corr graph name fields to give the chart an identity.

  2. Select a date and sample type for the chart.

  3. Specify a Enter order numbers.

  4. Complete the Test X and Test Y fields as needed.

  1. Select Execute.

The specifications for the new chart display in the Registration list.

  1. To return to the Correlation window, select Return.

  2. In the Data search field, select the chart you just created.

The chart is blank.

  1. Select Display data.

  2. In the List Display window, enter the measurements into the XData and YData fields.

The sample information section reminds you of the exact data required for entry into this correlation.

Select Next Page and Prev Page to enter more measurements.

  1. Enter the axis names.

  2. Select Save.

  3. To return to the Correlation window, select Return.

The chart now contains the data you entered.
