Use the QC Sample Definition window for the following tasks:
· entering the information required to run samples of up to 26 control products
· requesting an automatic run of control s after a user-specified number of samples are processed
Log on as supervisor.
At the Menu Panel, select QC then select QC Sample Definition.
Perform any of the following tasks on this window:
Entering the sample information for a control
Configuring the automatic control feature
Printing the control sample information
To close the window, select Exit.
In the Ctrl ID area, select a letter (A to Z) to identify the control product.
In the Posi.no. C- box, enter the cup position for the control sample on the calibrator/control tray (CTT).
In the Comment box, enter a comment describing the control product (such as, control name).
In the Lot No./Date box, type the control lot number followed by a forward slash (/) and the expiration date.
note
If you are using a host computer, you must fill in these fields in order to send data. Each time the lot number and expiration date is updated in the Ctrl/Cal Sample Setup window, you must also update the QC Sample Definition window with this information so that data is sent to the host computer.
In the Dil. Factor box, enter the off line sample dilution factor, usually 1.
In the Samp.type list, select the sample type.
In the Test table, select each analyte that is present in the control product.
(If necessary, select Test clear to deselect all tests for this control.)
Select CTT Posi.
Locate the cup position occupied by the control.
In the Container list, verify that the correct container is selected.
In the Times box, enter 1.
In the Comment box, enter some applicable information that describes the control product.
Select Return.
Select Save.
To confirm, select Yes.
NOTE
If you have a new control, use the Control Data Registration window to enter average and standard deviation (SD) values.
At the QC Sample Definition window, select Auto Control (TEST).
Enter the following information for each control you want to run automatically:
In the Select column, select the box next to each control you want to configure.
In the # of Tests box, enter the number of samples you want to process before the control is run.
The Remaining Times box indicates the number of samples processed before the system runs the control.
To return the remaining times count to the interval number, select Reset.
To reset all controls, select All Reset.
To deselect all the check-marked controls, select Clear.
Select Exit.
To save, select Yes.
To save without exiting, select Save, then select Yes when prompted.
Select Print.
If you want information for a single control, select All or select Specif.Cont.ID.
If you selected Specif.Cont.ID., enter the letter that identifies the control product.
Select OK.
