Process Sequence window

Use this window for the following tasks:

·   adding a new test to display in windows such as Order Entry, Test Select, and Real-time QC

·   setting the order to print  tests

 caution

Do not change the order after it is set and you start collecting data. Changing the test order may affect the way test data displays on other windows.

·   setting the order in which tests display in windows such as Order Entry, Test Select, and Real-time QC.

Before performing tasks in the Process Sequence window, make sure that you set up the required tests in the following windows:

·   Analytical Parameters (Chemistry)

·   System Test List

Only tests set up in these windows can be arranged in the Process Sequence window.

 caution

Do not switch Process Sequence Numbers after control results are accumulated. Quality control data may be reported for the wrong tests. Patient results are also affected.

Using the Process Sequence window

  1. Log on as supervisor.

  2. At the Menu Panel, select Setup, then select Process Sequence.

  3. Perform any of the following tasks on this window:

Add a new test that you already defined in the Analytical Parameters (Chemistry) and the System Test List windows

Set the order in which you want the results to print

note

The order set in this window does not affect the order in which the tests are actually processed. The processing order is set in the System Test List window (or the Analysis Order Set window).

Set the display order of test names in the software

Print the settings

Clear the settings

  1. To save the changes, select Save.

  2. When prompted, select Yes.

  3. To save your changes and close the window, select Exit.

  4. When prompted, select Yes.
