CAUTION
Tests on the Review/Edit window must be in the same order as they display in the System Test List window to avoid incorrect positioning of results on the print report. You must not modify the order of the test items on the System Test List window after initial setup. If you reposition any test items on the System Test List window, results for samples already run could be associate with the wrong test name.
At the Menu Panel, select Request then select Review/Edit.
Examine the Sample List.
In the left pulldown list on the button bar, select the day containing the sample results you want to review.
Select Disp search cond. button to sort the displayed results or to find a specific sample.
Or, select the Sample # column heading in the Sample List to do a quick sort by sample number.
To identify sample results that were not transmitted due to a data check error, select Transfer result.
In the Sample List, select the order number of the sample you want to review.
NOTE
You can edit and rerun Today (current day in date dropdown list) sample results. Sample results from previous days are locked and cannot be changed.
Review the results in the Sample Information area as follows:
To request a rerun, select the check box next to the test name in the R column, then select a rerun dilution in the Dispens.vol. column.
To edit an existing result, type a new value in the corresponding Edit val. box.
Your user code displays in the User box, and the E flag identifies the result value for which the edit value was entered.
IMPORTANT
The system sends edited results and E flags to the host computer only if, on the Online Settings window in the Online DATA TEXT Format field, you select NEW. If you select OLD, you can edit values in the Review/Edit window but the system does not transmit these edited values and their associated E Flags to the host computer. It transmits only the original, unedited results.
In accordance with laboratory protocol, record the patient result value change and the reason for the change in your laboratory notebook.
Apply a correction calc. to edit a result.
To approve changes, select Save.
Report the sample results by printing them or transmitting them to a host computer.
